Vita-Pakt Citrus Products' Evolution with JustFoodERP

This week in Vegas is the third JustFoodERP User Event that California fruit processor Vita-Pakt Citrus Products has attended.

For the first user event, held in 2010 in Dallas, Vita-Pakt came as a company evaluating our ERP software and services. They were drawn to us because of our very food-specific functionality, and they were impressed that one of our customers in the Dallas area, CF Chefs, opened its doors for a plant tour for attendees of our User Event.

Last year, Vita-Pakt, a vertically integrated processor of citrus and kiwi fruit products, attended our user event in Toronto as a customer who had just purchased us, and now they’re here at our third annual user event - fully live on the JustFoodERP system, and keen to attend education sessions for next steps.

Vita-Pakt is one JustFoodERP customer that is using the Role Tailored Client (RTC)  –a feature of Microsoft Dynamics NAV that helps users focus on their tasks by tailoring their application experience to the needs of their role at work.

"JustFoodERP's system helps us find the information that’s most relevant to our business, faster and easier,” Robert Naugle, Plant Manager at Vita-Pakt (right), told me today. Users at Vita-Pakt – including Don Frack, Larry Melzer and Gary Scanlan, also attending our user event this week – have very positive things to say about our system, but most importantly about JustFoodERP employees!

Vita-Pakt, based in Covina, CA and founded in 1957, is a certified organic processor dedicated to producing natural ingredients for food and beverage manufacturers around the world. Their processing facilities are in the heart of the California citrus and kiwi growing regions.

Their signature products are sugared lemon and orange flavedos – mainstay ingredients in the baking industry. Vita-Pakt’s other products include single strength, not -from-concentrate juices, all natural juice concentrates, beverage bases, citrus oils, purees, and specialty citrus peel products from dried and milled granules for the spice, tea and brewing industries, to pasteurized and frozen shredded peel for preserving and bakery applications. (Here in Vegas this week at our user event, there are lots of opportunities for fruit – albeit in the drinks!)
