Reducing carbon footprint correlated to success- love it!

Industry leaders are taking measures to reduce their carbon footprint. The list of the Top 25 Supply Chains was recently released, and there is a strong correlation between companies on this list and those that continually make the Fortune 500. Since supply chain management is clearly such a huge contributor to a company’s success, trends among these top 25 companies are sure to be emulated throughout. Companies like Pepsi and Wal-Mart are leading the way in taking measures toward reducing their carbon footprint. This can be seen with Wal-Mart just announcing that it plans to cut 20 million metric tons of greenhouse gas emissions from its supply chain by 2015, “which is the equivalent of removing more than 3.8 million cars from the road for a year." Well, that supply chain is full of JustFoodERP customers.

Microsoft also recently released detailed instructions on how businesses can implement environmental management accounting principles within Microsoft Dynamics NAV and JustFoodERP to gain greater visibility into their environmental footprint. We are working hard to see how our team can incorporate these practices within your organizations.

I’m really excited to be part of a team that helps food company’s work through how they can be more efficient, more green, and ultimately more profitable. I’ve been working with JustFoodERP for almost three years now and part of my satisfaction is that customers that I’ve been working with from the beginning are now starting to roll out their phase 2 and phase 3 projects. This means that we can get into tweaking performance instead of big overhauls.
